Northwest Arkansas Giving Program

Home is more than where our story began.

When Sam Walton opened his first Walmart store in Rogers, Arkansas, he built more than a business—he built lasting relationships with the communities he served. Today, Northwest Arkansas is home to Walmart's Home Office and thousands of associates who live, work and volunteer alongside their neighbors every day.

That spirit of community continues to guide our giving. We partner with nonprofits across Benton and Washington counties to create opportunity, strengthen connections and support the organizations helping our hometown thrive. We also support local efforts that expand career pathways to opportunities and strengthen recycling systems, helping build a more resilient Northwest Arkansas.

Beyond Northwest Arkansas Giving, eligible nonprofits can also explore Spark Good programs like Local Grants, Round Up, Registry and Storefront Reservations to discover even more ways to connect with customers, associates and the community. Explore Spark Good here.

Celebrating what makes Northwest Arkansas special.

From neighborhood festivals to nonprofit fundraisers, community events bring people together and celebrate what makes Northwest Arkansas such a special place to live.

Through our Event Sponsorship program, Walmart and Sam's Club support eligible nonprofit events that inspire connection, raise awareness and strengthen our community.

Funding opportunities are offered through a twice-yearly Request for Proposal process for:

  • Fundraising Events – Events where fundraising is the primary purpose and paid admission exceeds $25.
  • Community Events – Large-scale events that celebrate, educate or engage the community and are free or have admission of $25 or less.

Events should be accessible, highly engaging and designed to strengthen connections across the Northwest Arkansas community.

Our associates call Northwest Arkansas home, too.

Giving back is part of who we are. Every day, associates across Northwest Arkansas volunteer with local nonprofits, serve on nonprofit boards and support organizations making a difference in the communities they call home. Through Spark Good, we're making it even easier to get involved through volunteerism, Round Up, Registry, Storefront Reservations and other opportunities to give back.
